A spray that makes us sleep better? That sounds almost too good to be true. But this is neither a magic trick nor a marketing gimmick: it really is possible with the power of nature!

We are a family-run company and manufacturer of first-class bedding. We know how important good sleep is for general wellbeing and health. The sleep quality of our customers has always been an important concern for us. Therefore, we contribute to a good night’s sleep with more than just our high-quality pillows and other bedding. We are always on the lookout for new ways to improve sleep.

That’s why we developed a sleep spray that encourages a pleasant night’s sleep with its natural essential oils of lavender, bergamot and orange. Its fragrance composition gives you a feeling of security and relaxation and makes you forget the stress of everyday life. This feeling of well-being is the ideal prerequisite for good sleep and a better quality of life.

We carried out testing of our sleep spray under scientific conditions together with an independent sleep laboratory. Almost 90 percent of the study participants found the scent pleasant! Like all of our products, the sleep spray is made in Germany and is made from valuable raw materials.

High quality, natural ingredients: lavender, bergamot and orange

The benefits of real lavender have long been known in herbal medicine and aromatherapy. Lavender is used for sleep disorders, nervousness, inner restlessness and anxiety. The calming effect has been confirmed in scientific studies. The ingredients in real lavender, which stimulate nerve receptors in the body, are responsible for this. Fewer stress hormones such as norepinephrine are released. The result is an increase in the mood-boosting hormone called serotonin, which the body uses to produce the sleep hormone melatonin.

Bergamot, a greenish-yellow citrus fruit, is also referred to as “the bringer of light”. They contain esters and terpenes and these have a direct effect on our central nervous system. They also stimulate the production of serotonin and encephalin. Encephalins are the body’s own pain-relieving messengers that have a positive effect on one’s mood. And the sun is stored in orange oil! The fresh and fruity scent is relaxing. It conveys security and serenity.

All ingredients are purely plant-based. Unlike with sleeping pills, there are no undesirable side effects and there is no risk of addiction.

Using the sleep spray

Apply the spray to your pillow or use it as a room spray. After the first use, the sleep spray has a shelf life of twelve months.

The sleep spray is an ideal sleep aid, especially when travelling since many people find it more difficult to fall asleep in unfamiliar beds compared to at home. The sleep spray has a familiar, calming scent and helps you to settle in and relax.

That’s why we developed the Otto Keller travel blanket. It is particularly suitable for travel for many reasons:

Needless to say, our strict quality standards also apply when travelling

The travel blanket is made from recycled nylon. This means it meets our high standards for both sustainability and the recycling of raw materials. The nylon we use complies with the Global Recycling Standard GRS.

The filling consists of high-quality European goose down, which guarantees comfort and warmth even when you are on the go. All our down and feathers meet the requirements of quality class I and come from species-appropriate animal husbandry. We only use DOWNPASS certified down and feathers for our high-class bedding. We firmly oppose live-plucking and unnatural fattening methods such as foie gras fattening!

Our bedding is a good alternative for house dust allergy sufferers in particular, as it contains practically no house dust mites. All our bedding also meets the strict criteria of the Downafresh greenLine and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX seals.

Just like with all of our first-class bedding, we also put our faith in ‘Made in Germany’ quality for our travel blankets: Our products are manufactured entirely at our site in Altenberge, Westphalia, by our competent and experienced employees. All our bedding undergoes numerous internal checks before being dispatched and is also regularly audited and tested by external institutes.

Otto Keller detergents for down

We have developed the down detergent Aqua Clean by Otto Keller and the synthetic detergent Aqua Syn by Otto Keller to promote long-term comfort and deep-down cleanliness, and to protect nature. The cleaning power of the detergents is based 100% on sustainable surfactants made from wheat, corn and potato starch. They are not subject to mandatory labelling requirements, are phosphate-free, pH-neutral and ecologically harmless, and do not require optical brighteners. With this natural care power, environmentally friendly washing becomes light as a feather – and you can sleep in peace.
