Sustainability is a buzzword used by many companies these days. Our family business was already environmentally conscious even before sustainability was “in fashion”. We think this is only logical considering the range of products we offer: down bedding is a purely natural product that has a long lifespan if it is well cared for.
This means that important principles for a sustainable lifestyle are already integrated into our merchandise. We are consistently pursuing this approach: we are continuously reviewing and improving the framework conditions in our company, the products and all our resources so that we can keep our ecological footprint as small as possible. We would like to take this opportunity to briefly show you how we implement these elements of a sustainable corporate policy:
Within the company
We are committed to renewable energy: we produce our own electricity using the sun’s energy at our solar plant.
We are constantly working to reduce waste. We try to avoid materials that are not recyclable whenever possible.
We invest in state-of-the-art machinery because state-of-the-art machines work much more efficiently. This allows us to conserve valuable resources.
Made in Germany: We make all our products in Altenberge, Westphalia. This allows us to avoid environmentally damaging transportation from other regions of the world and to better control compliance with our sustainability standards.
Climate protection is also important to us within business segments in which the CO2 relevance is not obvious at first glance. This is why we also operate our website in a climate-neutral way and offset the emissions caused.

Our bedding is 100% natural: the down and feathers come from ducks and geese that are kept according to the highest animal welfare standards – we strictly reject “live-plucking” and cruel fattening methods.
Our pillow and blanket covers are all made of cotton, a renewable raw material. We are increasingly using organic cotton and attach great importance to the highest quality standards: our covers are exceptionally down- and feather-proof, fade-resistant, sweat-resistant and colour-fast, as well as light- and friction-resistant. This means that all our covers are very durable.
We were the first feather bedding factory to be awarded the Blue Angel for our andeo collection, the German Government’s environmental label for the highest requirements in terms of eco-balance. All our bedding bears the DOWNPASS and Downafresh greenLine seals and carries the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 label.

We want to minimise the use of plastic. That’s why we developed several alternative packaging lines that are made of sustainably grown cotton and do not contain PE.
Our tote bags are designed to be multifunctional. This allows them to be used beyond their intended purpose.
We only use certified and/or recycled paper.
